What Happens After You Apply

Applicants submit their completed application along with all required documents and declarations.

Step 2: Initial Screening (AI + Compliance Check)

Days 1–10

Applications are reviewed for:

  • Completeness

  • Basic eligibility

  • Alignment with Deedz’s Canada-first criteria

Incomplete or ineligible applications may be screened out at this stage.

Step 3: Anonymous Human Review

Days 11–40

Qualified applications undergo:

  • Anonymous evaluation by independent reviewers

  • Assessment of economic impact, scalability, and employment commitments

  • Verification of claims and documentation where required

Reviewer identities remain confidential to ensure fairness.


Step 4: Shortlisting & Sponsor Alignment

Days 41–55

Applications that meet Deedz’s criteria are shortlisted.

  • Approved applications are matched with aligned sponsors

  • Sponsor preferences (industry, region, category) are considered

  • Sponsors do not influence approval decisions


 

Step 5: Final Approval & Notification

By Day 60

Applicants are notified by email:

  • Approved applicants receive next-step instructions

  • Unsuccessful applicants are informed respectfully

Step 6: Compliance & Funding Execution

Post-Approval

Approved applicants:

  • Sign compliance & repayment agreements

  • Finalize invoices or funding details

  • Arrange their required 30% contribution

Funding is transferred directly from sponsor to recipient or service provider.

Step 7: Monitoring & Impact Reporting

Ongoing

Recipients are subject to:

  • Periodic or surprise compliance checks

  • Impact reporting obligations

  • Continued alignment with Deedz policies

No. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or funding. All applications are reviewed carefully and independently based on eligibility, alignment with Deedz’s Canada-first principles, and sponsor availability.

The full review process can take up to 60 days from the application deadline. This allows time for screening, verification, anonymous review, and sponsor alignment.

 

Anonymity protects fairness. It prevents bias, favoritism, influence, and bribery attempts. Applications are evaluated solely on merit, impact, and alignment — not on who submits them.

Yes. Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging receipt.

Incomplete applications may be screened out during the initial review stage. We strongly recommend reviewing all requirements and uploading all requested documents before submitting.
