How Deedz Work

How Deedz Work

Deedz exists to make support for Canadian businesses fair, transparent, and ethical.

We are not a lender, not a traditional grant issuer, and not an investment firm.
Instead, Deedz acts as a connector — aligning responsible sponsors with Canadian businesses and individuals who are contributing to the economy and creating jobs for Canadians.

Our process is intentionally structured to:

  • Remove bias and influence

  • Keep costs low

  • Ensure accountability

  • Protect applicants, sponsors, and the integrity of the system

Step 1: Apply

Applicants submit an application through our website outlining:

  • Their business or initiative

  • How they contribute to the Canadian economy

  • Their employment commitments

  • Their funding needs and intended use

Supporting documents such as business plans, projections, and quotes may be required.

Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.

Step 2: Anonymous Review

All applications are reviewed through a multi-stage, anonymous evaluation process.

During this stage:

  • Personal identities are not disclosed

  • Applications are assessed on merit, impact, and alignment

  • Canada-first requirements are verified

This process exists to prevent favoritism, bribery, or influence and to ensure fairness across all applicants.

Step 3: Sponsor Alignment

Applications that meet Deedz’s criteria are shortlisted and aligned with sponsors based on:

  • Industry or category

  • Impact goals

  • Geographic relevance

  • Values alignment

Sponsors do not participate in application evaluation.
They are introduced only after approval to protect the integrity of the process.

Step 4: Direct Funding & Accountability

Once approved:

  • Funding is transferred directly from the sponsor to the approved business or verified service provider

  • In some cases, payments may be made directly against an invoice or quote

  • Deedz does not collect or pool grant funds at any time

Approved recipients are required to meet reporting and compliance commitments.

Who Is Eligible?

To be considered for support, applicants must demonstrate:

  • A business or initiative based and operated in Canada

  • A measurable contribution to the Canadian economy

  • A commitment that at least 70% of employees are Canadian citizens or permanent residents

  • Intent to grow within Canada before expanding internationally

These requirements ensure that support translates into real benefit for Canada.

How We Protect Fairness

Deedz was designed with safeguards to protect everyone involved:

  • Anonymous application reviews

  • No handling or pooling of grant funds

  • Clear sponsor–recipient separation

  • Defined reporting and compliance expectations

Transparency is not a promise at Deedz — it is a system.

Why Leadership Is Anonymous

Deedz does not publicly disclose its founders, leadership team, or review committee.

This is intentional.

Anonymity helps us:

  • Prevent bribery or influence

  • Eliminate bias and favoritism

  • Protect applicants and sponsors

  • Maintain trust in the process

We want Deedz to be known for what it does, not who is behind it.

How to Reach Us

To keep operational costs low and ensure fairness:

  • All communication is handled via email or website chat

As compared to  a traditional grant or funding program.

We do not collect, pool, or distribute money ourselves. Instead, Deedz facilitates a transparent process where approved applicants are aligned with sponsors, and funding is transferred directly from the sponsor to the recipient or a verified service provider.

This structure reduces risk, increases accountability, and ensures funding reaches its intended purpose.

During the anonymous review process, evaluators assess:

  • The business or project idea

  • Economic impact and job creation potential

  • Canada-first alignment

  • Feasibility and scalability

  • Responsible use of requested funds

Personal identities and affiliations are not considered during this stage to ensure fairness and objectivity.

Invoices or quotes help ensure that funding is used responsibly and for its intended purpose.

In some cases, approved funding may be paid directly to a verified service provider based on the submitted invoice or quote. This approach protects both sponsors and applicants while maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the process.
